Research conducted by Mirasol has demonstrated that adventure-based therapy is highly effective in the treatment of eating disorders. Mirasol recently expanded its alternative eating disorder treatment program to include backpacking as well as hiking, camping and caving.

Mirasol is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Ryan, MA, CPT, as their new Executive Director. Under Ryan's direction, Mirasol will build on its tradition of innovation in alternative treatment, and expand the role of adventure therapy in both the adult and adolescent treatment programs.
