A TED talk delivered by Dr. Kalyan Kankanala on what motivates inventors has gone viral. The talk has received more than hundred thousand views in a short period of time. In his talk, Dr. Kalyan concludes that patents play no role in motivating inventors. Inventors invent simply because they love to invent.

The program organized by NSRCEL, IIMB's entrepreneurship cell on 5th September, 2015, was a great success. More than five hundred aspiring entrepreneurs registered for the event, and close to two hundred were on campus. Many others joined the event online and viewed the webcast.

Dr. Kalyan C. Kankanala, a leading IP expert in India, will be speaking at the IP for StartUps event being organized by NSRCEL at IIM, Bangalore.
