Representatives of more than 100 companies from 28 countries will meet in Santiago May 15-17. The forum is the largest of its kind held in the country. Companies will participate with more than 60 projects associated with the creation of 3,000 permanent jobs.

"Foreign companies see Chile as a safe destination to undertake new projects and expand existing operations," said InvestChile Director Karla Flores.

InvestChile, the Chilean Investment Promotion Agency, welcomed the results of the latest ECLAC report.

The Chilean Central Bank has released a revised version of its preliminary figures, showing that FDI increased 66% compared to the first half of 2020 to reach US $13.7 billion. This is an all-time high for the January-June period and is 98% above the historic average (US $7 billion).
