Ekena Millwork announces their balustrade system - FiberThane - has officially passed all formal testing for 16' lengths. Ekena's FiberThane Balustrade System is the only composite balustrade system certified for 16' lengths.

Ekena Millwork just announced that their new FiberThane Balustrade System is now certified for 16' lengths. The next closest composite balustrade system is only certified for 8' lengths. I forsee a very quick adoption rate for FiberThane.

Balustrade is commonly made out of two materials; urethane balustrade and FRP balustrade. Urethane is light-weight, but dents easily. FRP is strong, but weighs a ton. There are rumors that Ekena Millwork has solved both of these problems. We will see
