The return of the Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival comes full of new additions including a second festival area featuring a boat show, boat parade, Bob Schneider concert along with all the great events from last year.

Wines From Around The World, officially begins April 14th. With specialty food items, culinary events, sophisticated parties, and live musical entertainment, it is sure to be the event of the year!

15th Annual Wald Game Cook-off benefitting the Yaga's Children's Fund. Event includes a 5K run and many other festival activites for the family. Addmission fee is $25.

Beer Festival To Feature 68 Specialty Craft Beers at Event

The event scheduled for January 15, 2011 will crown the Galveston Island chili champion for 2011. A grand beer tasting will be one of the main events, and other activities include a 5K Run/Walk, a jalapeno-eating contest, and margarita contest.

Galveston Island hosted the first annual Wild Texas Shrimp Festival on September 25, 2010 in the historic downtown Strand district. The festival drew an estimated 10,000 in attendance.
