The return of the Galveston Island Wild Texas Shrimp Festival comes full of new additions including a second festival area featuring a boat show, boat parade, Bob Schneider concert along with all the great events from last year.

Galveston Island hosted the first annual Wild Texas Shrimp Festival on September 25, 2010 in the historic downtown Strand district. The festival drew an estimated 10,000 in attendance.

The Galveston Island Shrimp Festival makes it return September 25, 2010 to downtown historic Galveston. The first of a planned annual event will host a Gumbo Cook-Off. Additional activities include a children's parade, 5K walk/run and much more.
