The Handmade Toy Alliance (HTA) has announced its board of directors for the 2011-2012 year. The HTA achieved nonprofit status in 2009, and has a board of directors consisting of 9 members.

In celebration of American Craft Week (www.americancraftweek.com) 2010, the Handmade Toy Alliance outreached, in conjunction with bloggers across the country, an open call to all to pledge to buy handmade and local products this upcoming quarter.

This past month, the Handmade Toy Alliance (HTA) launched a new web site with improved member and navigation features.

This past Friday, the CPSC, released their report to Congress regarding implementation issues relating to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) as requested within the Omnibus Appropriations Bill of 2010.
