The Common Thread Circle was among the ten winners of this year's Mayor's Volunteer Houston Awards, which are given to charities that contribute to the welfare of Houston's citizens through volunteerism.

During the first ten months of this year, The Common Thread Circle -- a charity that gives handcrafts to patients in hospitals -- donated 10,000 fabricworks to patients in Houston-area hospitals.
