The Phoenix School of Law has hired Shirley L. Mays as its dean. Mays received her JD from Harvard Law School, and served as a Law Clerk for the Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court before taking a position at Capital University's Law School.

The American Bar Association grants full approval to the Phoenix School of Law as the last element of its accreditation process.
