A FARE center of excellence, Seattle-based NAAC offers treatments and affiliated business, ASTHMA Inc Clinical Research Center, runs clinical desensitization trials for food allergy, including the Viaskin Peanut patch and Stanford University's oral immunotherapy.

SeaFAC's recommendations are based on the LEAP (Learn Early About Peanut) study, which found that certain high-risk infants regularly fed peanuts in the first year of life experienced an 86 percent reduction in peanut allergy by age 5.
