Region 10 of the Society of Professional Journalists is calling for entries in the 2011 SPJ Northwest Excellence in Journalism Contest now through February 20, 2012.

Freelance writer Dana Neuts of Kent was elected to the national board of the Society of Professional Journalists during its annual conference. With a two-year term, Neuts will serve a five-state region.
