The Spanish translation will aide Latin American cities, governments and businesses to better prepare for the bi-annual UN Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, which be held May 2017 in Cancun, Mexico.

Resilience Action Fund (International) was launched at a London event attended by international business leaders from the finance, construction, energy, materials and other sectors. Its mission is to advance awareness, transparency and education for greater resilience in the built environment against natural and other hazards. This is aligned with the goals of the UN Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, signed in 2015 by 187 countries and referenced in the COP21 Paris Agreement.
